I am delighted to be part of this year's WINTERSALON at the Kunstverein Meißen!
WINTERSALON at the Kunstverein Meißen
Curated by Johanna Bettle and Matthias Lehmann
Opening | Saturday, November 22, 5 p.m.
November 22, 2025 – January 25, 2026
Location: Burgstraße 2, 01662 Meißen
The WINTERSALON is a group exhibition featuring various artists who present the breadth of artistic creativity in Saxony at the turn of the year.

"The exhibition Zeitwellen aims to revitalize the Fläming region in Saxony-Anhalt as a center for culture and art. With the help of contemporary art contributions and artistic positions, the beautiful Elbe landscape is to be enriched as a lively meeting place for culture and art.
Against the backdrop of the history of the Simonetti House, the exhibition explores the convergence of different temporalities. Conceived as a contemplative journey, the exhibition aims to become a meeting place where different layers of time interweave. In this context, time is presented not as a continuous line, but as a fragmented network, laden with absences, resonances, and persistence. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on how the narratives of the past inhabit the present, are reactivated, transform, and enter into dialogue with emerging realities.
The exhibition is curated by artists Barbara Bielitz and Mariana Sola and will take place at Simonetti Haus as part of FLAKUPA from October 12, 2025, to November 1, 2025."

Exhibition period: June 9–July 11, 2025
Location: Produzentengalerie 4h-art in Hanover, Loebeinstr. 7A
As in the exhibition in Worms this spring, I am showing my new facadological works. Facadology (facade + logos: the science of facades 😎) is a new branch of research in my artistic endeavor. The results are extremely appealing and provide grounds for multifaceted exploration (Link). I am very proud to present my latest works.

In addition to the large member exhibition, the BBK is also organizing a smaller, more focused exhibition for new members. I am very pleased to be able to show my growing and evolving series of works, Geology of a Facade, parts of which I was able to present in Worms and Hanover this year, now also in Leipzig.
These two approaches, Negative Memory and Geology of a Facade, deal in their own way with aspects of temporality, memory, and history. These themes also recur in other works of mine, such as Insalted Books or Growth Rings.

June is going to be hot. Fortunately, I have been invited to take part in two exhibitions, which open on the same day at different venues.
On June 21st at 8 pm, the 30th Leipzig Annual Exhibition opens in the Werkschauhalle (Hall 12) of the Leipzig Baumwollspinnerei. I am very proud and happy to be part of it. I will be showing two works: my sound installation FERRUM and my photo series my recent mudras. I will be there and will be very happy to see everyone. The exhibition runs until July 13th. Many thanks to Leipziger Jahresausstellung e.V. for the invitation.
On the same day, the group exhibition Klangkörper - Künstlerische Musikinstrumente (Resonating Bodies - Artistic musical instruments) opens at 7 pm at the Kunstmuseum Heidenheim, where I will present my extended sound space installation TELLURIUM and the sound object installation PNEUMA together with other very exciting sound art works by other artists. Unfortunately, I won't be in Heidenheim for the opening. However, the exhibition runs until October 13th. So there is plenty of time to stop by. So if you're planning to come or are nearby, let me know and maybe we can meet there.
Torsten Pfeffer, a musician and artist friend from Leipzig, will be playing at the Tellurium for the finissage. You can look forward to that with me.
Many thanks to Marco Hompes and the museum for the invitation.

My work PNEUMA was selected for a six-month fellowship in 2024. I'm really looking forward to continuing the work I've started and presenting it further. Many thanks to the Kulturstiftung Sachsen and congratulations to all the other scholarship holders!!!

To mark the 200th anniversary of the death of Brockhaus publishing house founder Friedrich Arnold Brockhaus in Leipzig, the exhibition organized by Industriekultur Leipzig e. V. and Kunstverein ars avanti e.V. is dedicated to the topics of knowledge generation, storage and dissemination. The starting point is the Brockhaus Encyclopaedia, which still appears today as a guarantor of verified knowledge. This self-image is taken up in selected works of art by the artists Stefan Hurtig, Mingren Li and Andreas Schröder and questioned with regard to current or alternative forms of knowledge and data transfer.
